Plain and simple, alternatives and solutions may exist for many of the health concerns, training issues and time constraints that generally lead folks to consider surrendering their Lab. Your Labrador is a member of your family and you owe it to them to exhaust all other means before deciding to give them up.

If you are not able to attend an event, copies of the book are available through New York's Canine Specialists.
There are two certified Dog Whisperers in the Rochester, New York area to help you. Please go to http://www.hope4yourcanine.com/ to find a certified whisperer in your area.
1. Call your veterinarian and tell them you are releasing your dog to rescue. They must mail your complete vet records to Rudy's Rescue PO BOX 246, Pittsford, NY 14534 2. You must fill out the owner surrender form in its entirety. You must submit the form on line but also print the completed copy, sign it and put it in the mail to - We must have an original signature for legal reasons Rudy's Rescue PO BOX 246, Pittsford, NY 14534 3. Please submit pictures of your dog (these pictures must be taken within the last 3 months). If you do not have a digital camera, pictures can be mailed to the address above. 4. A minimum donation of $100 is required to cover the cost of medical and food expenses of not only your pet, but also the others within the rescue. We do not accept any animals that are dangerous to the general public and reserve the right to ask for a professional evaluation at the owner's expense. Additionally, surrendering your animal to rescue is not considered a donation.
